Introduction
I'll start with a warning! The MOD system can be a bit confusing..... Almost all Pre-amp needs can be taken care of using either our TAP-X or Micro-TAP pre-amp. The MOD system components can sometimes be used to optimize your signal path or to allow you to put together a custom system with particular controller and attenuation options. Before even looking at designing a mod system please take a look at the TAP-X and MicroTAP pre-amps - chances are one of those would fit just fine into your audio system.
Examples of when a MOD system might make sense is if you want to use a specific controller (like a TRIK) or if you need to expand beyond 2 channels to a 6 or 8 channel system. We list common options but we can make custom systems to fit any needs you may have. Please e-mail or call and we can discuss your specific needs.
MOD -Controller and Attenuation Options
The MOD System is a collection of controllers and attenuators (Bent Units). To create a MOD system you choose one of the controller options and then one or more (depending on how many channels you need) Bent Unit options. Please see the MOD Instruction set (link below) to get specifications and details on Controllers and Bent Units and examples of how they connect together. Below is a list of Controller and Bent Units currently available and pricing for each of these options.
System Controller Options
- TRIK Controller...........................$575
The TRIK Controller is a unique design for an audio system controller. System volume level is indicated by a frosted ball on top. This ball gradually changes color as the level is raised - from blue at lower volumes on through green,yellow, orange and finally red at the highest levels. It's easy to see from anywhere in the room what the volume setting is. The TRIK controller is 17" wide x 5"D x 1.5"H.
The rest of the system status (balance, tape, source, and mute) are indicated via led back lighting on the frosted rod across the front of the unit. There is a volume 'knob' on top and also push buttons for mute,source select ,buffer mode, and tape. Full remote operation via the Bent remote handset is provided.

Bent Unit (Attenuator) Options
All Bent Units have level trim up/down buttons and indicators. Listed below are resistor type Bent Units but we can make Autoformer type Bent Units on request - to combine,for example , the TRIK controller with a 6 input Autoformer Bent Unit.

All Prices are in US funds. We accept Paypal, Wire transfer, money orders or personal cheques (must clear before shipment). For paypal we must add the 3% fee they charge as we do not build it in to our pricing.
Shipping
Prices do not include shipping. We ship via expresspost (trackable and insured). MOD system shipping to USA destinations costs about $50 to $65. The Components are all double boxed to make sure they arrive safely and ready to enjoy. Please call for shipping rates to other destinations.
