Introduction
The TAP-X is a full featured Autoformer based passive pre-amp system for high end audio applications.
TAP Two Channel AVC Pre-amp
The TAP pre-amp is designed to have many new features but it is important to note that NONE of these features in any way complicates the signal path. The signal path is 100% passive and only the finest components are used throughout.
TAP-X Features:
- 61 1dB Level Steps from mute to +7db - it's 'one louder'
- More steps than any other TVC/ AVC pre-amp!
- Automatically Engages gain mode as volume increases above unity gain
- Remote Control of Level, Balance, Input Select, buffer, Mute, and Display
- Front Panel Control of Level, Input Select, buffer, Mute, Tape, and Display
- Tape Output (6 input version only)
- 100% passive or Active Buffer Mode - selectable via remote (6 input version only)
- Any Input(s) can be programmed as HT Input via back panel button press
- Main RCA Output (100% passive or Active Buffered)
- Separate Buffered and level Controlled Subwoofer Output (6 input version only)
- Six input version = 6 RCA Inputs + tape out + main out + sub out
- One input version = 1 RCA OR 1 XLR Input + dual outputs
- Custom Remote Control Handset

At the heart of the TAP-X pre-amp are the 'Slagleformer Modules'. These autoformer volume control (AVC) modules keep the signal path very short and clean. Each channel has only 3 short internal connection wires. All other level select functions are part of these small self contained modules - no more 'rats nest' of wiring!
The TAP-X pre-amp was designed from the ground up to be fully remote controlled. This ground up design allows the remote to be integrated into the TAP-X without any sonic compromise.

All Prices are in US funds. We accept Paypal, Wire transfer, money orders or personal cheques (must clear before shipment). For paypal we must add the 3% fee they charge as we do not build it in to our pricing.
Shipping
Prices do not include shipping. We ship via expresspost (trackable and insured). TAP shipping to USA destinations costs $50. The Components are all double boxed to make sure they arrive safely and ready to enjoy. Please call for shipping rates to other destinations.
