Introduction
The TRIK system controller is a separate controller unit for the TAP pre-amp system. It is used along with TAP expansion modules or DIY parts to control all functions of the pre-amp system.
There is seldom a 'need' to use the TRIK controller but it does allow the control center to be located anywhere in your listenning room and then the TAP expansion module(s) can be located to keep cable lengths as short as possible. This is particularly useful if you are using resistor modules - where the output cable length should be kept as short as possible. In this situation you can locate the TAP module close to your amplifier to keep the cables nice and short while also positioning the TRIK controller anywhere that suits your listenning room layout.
The TRIK connects to the TAP modules via supplied fiber optic cables. Cables from 6 to 50 feet are avaiable.
The TRIK Controller
The TRIK Controller is a unique design for an audio system controller. System volume level is indicated by a frosted ball on top. This ball gradually changes color as the level is raised - from blue at lower volumes on through green,yellow, orange and finally red at the highest levels. It's easy to see from anywhere in the room what the volume setting is. The TRIK controller is 17" wide x 5"D x 1.5"H.
The rest of the system status (ballance, tape, source, and mute) are indicated via sections on the frosted rod accross the front that light up via led's. There is a volume 'knob' on top and also push buttons for mute,source,phase, and tape. Full remote operation via the Bent remote handset is provided.
Use your imagination when configuring TRIK systems. Any expansion modules listed on the site can be configued for use with the TRIK Controller. A few example systems are described below..........

TRIK Controller used with resistor modules inside a DIY amplifier project.
The TRIK can be used as a nice looking system controller for your diy projects. In this case you install the TAP modules you choose inside your diy chassis and then use the TRIK as the user inteface. The TRIK and your diy project connect together via supplied fiber optic cables.
